leader
Reasons:-
1)Centralised power was absent.India was divided in to many petty kingdoms. Each one was under different rulers. They had their own laws and regulations. They were very weak and indulged in their pleasure.Welfare of their citizens were neglected. Common people were tortured under heavy taxes and the money was siphoned off towards the kings and bureaucrats' luxuries. There was jealousy and hatred against each other and integrity and co- operation were completely. In this condition the the foreigners who came to trade, easily overpowered the native rulers.
The need for a Leader:-When an organisation or institution or a family needs a leader to guide and lead them in proper path of growth ,why not a nation need a dynamic leader to take the nation towards the path of progress and development?Leaders help themselves and others to do the right things. They set direction, build an inspiring vision, and create some thing new.Leaders may be in a community, in a religion,in politics or in a campaigning group. What a man needs to become a leader?1)Humility 2)vision 3) courage 4)Integrity 5)focus 6)co-operation 7)Mental strength 8)patience 9)Confidence 10)Persuasiveness 11)Action orientation 12)Inspiration speech 13)Articulation.
Humility:-He who learns to obey, learns to command is the adage.Team spirit and organisation is necessary for any victory.A single hand won't make any noise. If there is no humility , even among three persons there will be only quarrel and politics.Even in a family the head of the family, say father or mother must consult each other in taking the decision , If there are adult members their opinion also must be asked and respected.Since one is the earning member, he should not think that he is the supreme and all the others must hear only his words. This complex disintegrate the family. That is when the children grow up they start to disobey and shows their dissension. The moment the leader puts on air of superiority ,jealousy rises its ugly head to destroy the organisation.Swami vivekanand says that if a leader take the privileges of his position start to dictate with out concern. the seeds of dissension are sown.A leader must be like a child in a family, where all the family members love the child ungrudgingly.Though a child depends on others , he or she is the king of the house hold.He must work with love and affection of a servant and not a task master.Love shown by the leader must be impartial and should not be biased. If so it will lead to bondage and privileges.
vision:-A leader must have a clear vision about his target. He must clearly accomplish where to go and what to do.The goal and the path to travel to reachhis goal must be explained to his followers.Long term or short term may be the vision, it must be beneficial to his followers. The mission he undertakes must lead to towards the path of growth.Such leaders will bring glory and dignity to the nation.
Courage:-A leader must be courageous enough to face any challenge and risk.Always positive thoughts must be on his views.Least fear must not arise in facing the challenging situation.Lead the followers with the assurance that success will be seen at the end.The rousing speech must sow the seeds of hope.During the freedom struggle,we saw how under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi faced all the threats of the british courageously.
Integrity:-It is the duty of the leader to safeguard the integrity of his nation. If he shows any prejedice or preference against any one , the organisation or the nation will disintegrate. In Swamivivekanand's words"He never becomes a leader in whose love of high and low"He must show his love and appreciation and sympathy to all equally and at the same time he must be as hard as the steel in dealing with any issues which is suspected to disturb the integrity. On other times he must be soft as the flower ,as he contacting, his followers.
Focus:- His focus must fully be on his mission.Nothing must distract or deviate him.Day and night only the victory of his aim must occupy his mind.
co-operation :- co-operation of each every member is necessary.A leader must be easily approchable to each and every one.To get the co-operation , he must act as a servant not as a leaderof command. By creating fear you will not achieve anything.A leader must explain clearly how and when he is going to implement his plan and what is the participation of the others in that endeavour. What the leader address must easily be understood by even the lay man and must reach the last part of the country.Hitler consolidated the co-operation of his country men by his powerful speech.
The great leaders like Mahatma,Martin luther,Abraham lincoln,Nelson mandela are called as the world leaders because of their sacrifices and they never cared for their personal comforts.Leaders like Gandhiji not only fought in a ahimsa way and went to the prison but lived such a simple life that he drank only goat's milk and wore the indian poor man's dress that too spun by himself. The present burmese prime minister sui-ki patiently bore the long term imprisonment for the sake of set principle rose them to a world leaders position and the people never forget their contribution even to-day.
Leader is the person who leads his followers towards the path of growth.
A leader is not born but bloom on his own efforts
