A man good or bad want to enjoy happiness in his life, for that he goes in search of money,some go in search of a guru who will guide him to get happiness.But one thing that they forget that is peace.Where there is peace in oneself and out side he finds happiness.To have the peace one should have moral values.Hence if he want a healthy,peaceful society where he can live with out any ailment both physically and mentally he must have moral value.Peaceful society  creates peaceful nation.With more and more inventions,more and more gadgets  make the life simple and easy. Attracted to this,people want to lead a luxurious  and easy life.Hence the greed to earn money makes to forget and neglect all moral values.This disturbs the personal,social, and national life. Considering the importance of these moral values.it must be taught both in the school as well as at home from the early age it self. Some of the early moral values to be taught at home are

1)Respect the elders2)Honesty3)Love

1)Respect the elders:The urgent need today is showing respect to elders.It is because of the absence of this quality ,there is no intimacy between the elders and youngsters. They donot take any responsibility to look after the needs of the elders when they need help.Easily they pass on the responsibility to others.If there are two or three children they plan to  keep them in turn for certain periods.Here they never realize the mental agony and distress of the elders. They used to the place where they lived for long.Before adjusting to the new environment they are shuttled to from place to place.Again the taste  of food varies from house to house.As the age progress, health problem raise and they have to adjust the pattern of eating time and food. Right from the early stage if they show respect they will always consider the needs of the elders.They will not consider them as a burden and push them in the old age home.They must be taught that they should get the opinion  and consent of the elders before they take any important decision, because the elders have more experience and have crossed your age.If you think that you are on the right path and is suitable for your time in which you are living ,then you must convince the elders by explaining the positive result of your action.Not only the elders but also all the others including the servants must be treated with respect.

2)Honesty:-Honesty is the best policy.It is the foundation stone for forming good character.An honest person yields respect in the society.It makes the man courageous. Children must be made to understand through the stories of Harischandra and Nakkirar ,the greatness of being honest. Harischandra stood firm in his truth against the temptation offered by the great sage viswamithra. Although he underwent so many hardship at the end he was rewarded by the same viswamithra. Likewise when Nakkira found mistake in the poem composed by Lord Shiva he declined to accept that mistake and boldly argued with Lord Himself.Thus by being truthful one will become fearless and peaceful.Even if you do not have money if you are honest you will be respected and loved by one and all.It strengthens the relationship and trust.The family must tell the children that their image will be enhanced among the family members and out side if they stand on truth and have the courage to accept the truth if they commit any mistake.

Love :-Love is mostly reciprocal.Children repeat whatever others do to them .So the loving parents will bring up loving children.Parents are the first teachers.Love is needed to avoid the the detrimental effects of real and perceived isolation and abandonment.Showing love attracts many new relations closer.With the loving people around you feel secured and strengthened. A strong bond is created for life long.Lending a  helping hand in time of distress and need earns many friends.Loving the family must develop into loving his/her own mother land.If the national integrity is strong no enemy will enter our country.We must encourage to use the swadesi products so that our national economy will see the uprising graphic mark which will result in the growth of national wealth and the people will be happy.
In the school Moral education must be taught either allotting a separate period or incorporate it with other language periods through poems,essays on great persons.The following values maybe learned in the schools.

1}discipline
2}compassion
3}co-operation

Discipline:-Discipline is everything which we do in the right way at right time.A man without discipline will not see success in any work.At schools the games teachers play a pivot role in following discipline among the students.They learn how to form the line according to their heights and how to move in an orderly way.Co-operation and integrity are  developed while playing the game.Discipline is of two types 1)Induced 2)self discipline.If one learns discipline by seeing the activities of others , that is called induced discipline.In schools there are ample chances to learn from others.many will motivate to take up orderly path in the life.There are many advantages in following discipline.self discipline comes from with in.This self disciplined person motivates others also to be disciplined.Whether it is self discipline or induced discipline certainly brings perfection in life.Educating the mind and body of the person to respond to the rules and regulation which will make one to be an ideal citizen of the society

compassion:-It is the basis of morality. Tolerance and compassion are learned not only at home but also at school. compassion is not only to be shown at the human beings but also to all suffering beings.A kind gesture or a soothing word to the suffering being  brings great solace to them.Outside the family it is in the school that new contact with new persons develop which blossom into friendship.With friends one shares everything which they could not share it with their parents.A teacher shows the way how to treat their weaker class mates.Here he learns not mock at the poor but to feel for them and help them.When  a student fall sick or vomit he is guided to help them and not to run away from them.When the teacher tells the stories of Buddha,Gandhi and Jesus,he learns to show courtesy even to the persons who did harm to them.The life of Mother Teresa is embedded in the pervasive principle of compassion.

Co-operation:- The sense of co-operation is very important value which boost up the success in one's life.If one co-operate with others in a school he will be loved by every one.He or She knows how to adjust with others and how to work for the success of the team to which he/she belongs .The team games develops this quality.Here he/she learns how to respect the opinion of others and at the same time how to obey the commands.This is the core value for the national integration and patriotism.
To conclude, the moral values are the basic thing that one should learn if they want a peaceful, happy,successful,and safe life.
